Aspire people are currently working with a school Edgbaston, Birmingham who are seeking a Teaching Assistant to cover Read Write Inc phonics. The role is starting in October 2025 for a fixed contract with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.

The role is working to support groups of children with phonics practice at differing levels in a lower Key Stage 2 class. The phonics programme used by the school is Read Write Inc so therefore knowledge of this would be essential.

The school has average EAL and SEND needs for the geographic area and like to provide additional support for students with additional needs.

As a full time, teaching assistant, the school will expect you to essentially be a permanent member of staff, so the following is expected.
* Support children in working phonics groups
* Experience of using Read Write Inc
* Whole class support
* Support the class teacher with daily activities
* Assess achievements of pupil.
* Ensure the students can access the curriculum
