SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Birmingham (B1–B38 & surrounding areas)
Type: Full-Time
Salary: £88–£95 per day (depending on experience and/or qualifications)

ABC Teachers are recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to support a range of SEND and mainstream schools across Birmingham, including provisions for SLD, PMLD, ASC, MLD and SEMH.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with diverse additional needs. You will help adapt lessons, provide 1:1 or small-group support, promote positive behaviour and assist with communication, sensory needs and personal development.

You will be part of a highly supportive school team focused on creating a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every pupil is able to succeed.

• At least 6 months’ experience supporting children or young people with SEND (or personal experience of SEND support)

• A calm, patient and proactive approach

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships

• A willingness to learn and develop within a school setting

• A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system. (Daily rate is subject to your scale rate, experience in role and qualifications which will be discussed at the point of registration.)
