Teaching Assistant (Supply Work)

Location: North Birmingham

Type: Daily Supply/Temporary/Long- and Short-Term contracts


About the Role:


As a Teaching Assistant on supply, you will play a key role in supporting teachers in a range of classroom settings, working with students of all abilities and ages across our Primary Schools in the Midlands. The role is ideal for individuals who are adaptable, reliable, and eager to contribute to the education and development of children and have relevant UK recognised qualifications and experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.
  • Assisting students with learning activities, both individually and in groups.
  • Providing extra support to students with additional learning needs.
  • Helping to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Offering feedback to teachers on student progress and behaviour.
  • Using a variety of different schemes of work and systems to support children's learning, e.g. - Phonics.


About You:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in a classroom setting in the UK.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to working in various educational environments.
  • A patient and caring attitude with a commitment to supporting students' academic and personal development.
  • A DBS check will be required as part of the on-boarding and registration process. Furthermore, we will require 2 professional references.
