Trust Safeguarding Lead

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £47,754 - £52,805 per annum (Actual salary TTO plus 10 Days £44,693 - £49,420)

The Role

To advise the school leaders, executive team and Trust directors on best practice, shape policies and procedures, and provide operational support with complex cases. Reporting to the Director of Education you will develop, implement and lead the Trust’s safeguarding strategy to ensure that all of the students and staff work within both a compliant and strong culture of safeguarding.

As Trust Safe Guarding Lead, you’ll act as the link with external agencies, whether you’re securing their input to bring about positive outcomes or helping to shape the way they think and work. Add in significant contributions to recruitment initiatives and Ofsted inspections, and it’s clear that you’ll be integral to everything they do - so they’re looking for someone exceptional.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant safeguarding qualification and/or training
  • Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Promotes a culture of Safeguarding
  • Experience of working with children or young people who are vulnerable or disaffected
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations and how they apply in a school environment
  • Knowledge of and/or ability to use technology to support student learning
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection issues and procedures
