Due to growth, expansion and new long term programme awards, a leading manufacturer of advanced solutions to the Defence sectors has a new vacancy for a Configuration Manager to join the team. You will be responsible for establishing, maintaining and governing configuration management processes to ensure technical, contractual and regulatory requirements are met.

The Role

Lead the design, definition, implementation and improvement of the company configuration management process.

Develop and maintain Configuration Management Plans (CMPs)

Control and manage baselines, configuration items, and change processes

Ensure compliance with defence, quality, and industry standards.

Deliver process improvements and work with key stakeholders on new projects.

Drive continuous improvement on configuration management tools and best practises.

Provide training and advice on configuration identification, change control, status accounting, and verification activities.

The Person

Proven experience in Configuration Management within defence, aerospace or complex engineering environment.

Strong understanding of lifecycle configuration control for complex systems.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data.

Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder communication skills

Ability to work with sensitive and classified information
