A dynamic IT team in Birmingham is seeking an IT Change Manager to lead technical changes and manage application upgrades/releases, primarily within a Microsoft stack.
The role requires solid experience in technical change management, ideally with ITIL certification, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Candidates should possess the ability to analyze the impact of technical changes and have some knowledge of cloud-based services, preferably Azure.
The position offers a hybrid working model with 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, allowing for remote work with occasional office days in central Birmingham.
The salary for this role is competitive, and candidates should have a minimum of several years of relevant experience in a similar position.

A dynamic IT team in the heart of Birmingham has an exciting opportunity for an IT Change Manager! In this role as IT Change Manager, you will lead technical changes by planning, coordinating, and implementing BAU application upgrades/releases (mainly from a Microsoft stack), and acting as the IT workstream Lead for business-led projects. You'll assess the impact of proposed technical changes using existing frameworks and develop reusable change/release plans. Managing and coordinating technical change implementations with suppliers, third-party vendors, and internal IT resources will be your core responsibility. Providing support for colleagues impacted by technical changes through release documentation is another key aspect of this role. You will manage and mitigate risks associated with technical changes, assisting IT and Business Project Managers from project initiation through test and transition to operational support and BAU. What we’re looking for in an IT Change Manager:

Solid experience in a technical change management role, ideally ITIL certified.
Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills.
Ability to analyse and assess the impact of technical changes.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Some knowledge for cloud-based services (preferably Azure)
APMG Change Management Practitioner and Project Management certifications are a plus.
