Security Support Specialist (Desk-Based) – CCTV & Networks

£35,000 | Blythe Valley Business Park, Near Solihull (on-site, free parking)

Monday–Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (Office Based)

A market-leading global technology company, recognised for delivering advanced tech security solutions to clients worldwide, is seeking a skilled Security IT Support Specialist for a pivotal office-based role supporting a major client account.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a background in IT support, network operations, or helpdesk roles looking to diversify into security and video technology as part of a supportive, innovative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Download and securely share CCTV/video footage with the client to support incident and investigation requests (e.g., suspected theft, disturbances, or other escalations).
  • Carry out first-line fault-finding and remote diagnostics on internal CCTV systems and networks (verifying connections, investigating IP address issues, basic troubleshooting).
  • Liaise professionally with the client: providing updates, managing expectations, and building strong relationships.
  • Escalate issues to engineering/field teams where onsite support is needed.
  • Maintain accurate logs, documentation, and audit trails for all casework.

Applicants will have:

  • Prior experience in IT support, helpdesk, network technician, or similar technical role.
  • Good working knowledge of computer networks (e.g., IP addresses, connectivity) with a willingness to learn security/CCTV technology (full training provided).
  • Strong communication skills and be able to convey technical information confidently and build rapport.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple requests efficiently.
  • Any experience with CCTV, electronic security, or IP camera systems (not essential).
