Construction Litigation Associate

Salary: Competitive and based on experience

Our client is looking for a Construction Litigation Associate to join their expanding Legal 500 and Chambers-rated Construction team. This role offers high-quality, meaningful work supporting clients in the housing, local government, social business, and charity sectors. What you'll do:

As a Construction Litigation Associate, your role will be multifaceted. You'll be responsible for advising on and managing construction and engineering disputes, handling matters from initial advisory work through to settlement or judgement. Your expertise will be crucial in representing clients in adjudication, mediation, and other ADR processes. You'll also have the opportunity to supervise and mentor junior team members if desired. Furthermore, you'll support clients with training and contract interpretation in plain, accessible language.

  • Advising on and managing construction and engineering disputes
  • Handling matters from initial advisory work through to settlement and/or judgment
  • Representing clients in adjudication, mediation, and other ADR processes
  • Working across departments to provide joined-up legal services
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members (if of interest)
  • Supporting clients with training and contract interpretation in plain, accessible language

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Construction Litigation Associate role is a qualified lawyer with solid experience in construction disputes (ideally 2-3PQE+). You have a passion for working within specialist sectors and possess the ability to manage cases independently while also collaborating on larger matters. Experience in ADR, including adjudication and mediation is desirable but not essential. An interest in knowledge-sharing and helping clients navigate contracting processes is key to success in this role.
