Operations ManagerBirmingham | Full Time, PermanentWorking Schedule: Monday-Friday 06:00-15:30 / 09:30-19:00Salary: £50,000 + Bonus + Benefits
An established and well-regarded distribution business is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee its Birmingham site. With a large-scale fleet and high-volume service levels, this is a key role managing the end-to-end warehouse and transport operation to ensure smooth, safe and efficient delivery to customers.
This position plays a central role in shaping site performance, managing compliance across transport and H&S, and ensuring seamless collaboration across operational and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities* Lead and develop warehouse and driver teams to deliver against key KPIs* Ensure legal and company compliance across transport and fleet operations* Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the site* Manage facilities, contractors, and maintenance to budget and compliance levels* Control operational costs and drive efficiencies through continuous improvement* Act as the key link between operations, customer service, and sales* Promote a strong safety and performance culture across all levels of staff
Experience & Skills Required* Proven experience managing warehouse and transport operations in a fast-paced environment* Strong leadership and team development capabilities* CPC/OLAT and IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications beneficial* Fleet and driver compliance knowledge essential* Hands-on, process-driven, and collaborative management style* Exposure to facilities management, cost control, and quality systems* MHE licences (Counterbalance / Aisle Master) advantageous
