Plant Engineer Surveyor

£40,500 to £45,000 + Vehicle + Overtime + Bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Engineer Surveyor with a background in cranes, plant machinery, or lifting equipment. The Role:

As an Engineer Surveyor, you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, and assessing a wide range of lifting and plant machinery across customer sites. The role involves regular travel and overnight stays, offering great variety and independence in your daily work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out inspections on cranes, lifting equipment, and plant machinery
  • Ensure compliance with LOLER & PUWER regulations
  • Accurately report on equipment condition and recommend follow-up actions
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Work safely at height and in confined spaces
  • Travel across the UK with occasional weekend overtime and overnight stays

The Ideal Candidate:

  • HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Engineering preferred
  • LEEA-accredited (or working toward) highly desirable
  • Hands-on experience maintaining, servicing, or repairing heavy plant or lifting equipment
  • Backgrounds welcome from: Field Service, Manufacturing, Forces (Army, Navy, RAF), Distribution, Marine, Rail, Aeronautical, Automotive
  • Solid understanding of LOLER & PUWER regulations
  • Self-sufficient, confident in decision-making, and safety-conscious
  • Comfortable with nationwide travel and overnight stays
