SRG is working with a pre-clinical CRO that specialises in the pharmacology space in Birmingham. We are on the lookout for an experience Lab Technician/Operator to join on a short term contract to support on a busy period within the company

The successful candidate will have recent experience within the laboratory and have hands on experience with tissue culture. Recent experience with in vitro assays, tissue sectioning and histology would be highly desirable.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the lab is running smoothly alongside supporting the work within the team. A solid understanding of in vitro assays such as radioligand binding assays, receptor occupancy, fluorescence assays, ELISA or SPR will go a long way.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • To assist in laboratory analyses and data analysis via ELISA, SPR, Ligand Binding assays, plate-based assays.
  • Correctly storing data, reagents and samples (including "lab book") for current and future reference.
  • Stock management and ordering; goods receipt; reconciliation of invoices.
  • Organising project samples, reagents, and tracking their importation via inventory tracking.

Skills Required:

  • Degree qualified in a Scientific field
  • Experience with cell culture and in vitro assays
  • Knowledge of workflow logistics
  • Highly desirable: Experience with in vitro assays such as radioligand binding assays, receptor occupancy, fluorescence assays, ELISA or SPR.
