Key Responsibilities

  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre
  • Follow correct repair techniques and factory specifications
  • Conduct detailed inspections to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
  • Repair or replace damaged mechanical, electrical, and trim components
  • Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts as required
  • Use diagnostic equipment to identify and fix system issues
  • Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet industry standards
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and standards

Skills and Qualifications

  • Recognised apprenticeship as a MET Strip Fitter / MET Technician
  • Technical qualification such as NVQ, ATA, IMI, or SVQ
  • Previous experience within a busy bodyshop environment
  • Experience with geometry work and 4-wheel alignment
  • Up-to-date diagnostic training and repair techniques
  • Strong team player with a self-motivated attitude to achieve bonus hours
