Salary: £160–£230 per day (dependent on experience and pay scale)
Contract Type: Full-time, Ongoing (with planning and preparation responsibilities)
A well-regarded infant and nursery school in the B32 area of Birmingham is seeking a flexible, skilled, and enthusiastic Primary Teacher with QTS to cover across Key Stage 1 (Reception, Year 1, and Year 2) starting in September 2025. This is a full-time role with full classroom teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, delivery, marking, and assessment.
The successful candidate will be joining a friendly, inclusive school that fosters a strong team spirit and a commitment to early years and KS1 development. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who is confident teaching across the key stage and enjoys working with young learners in a nurturing, play-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:-
Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the EYFS and KS1 curriculum

Take full classroom responsibility including planning, preparation, marking, and assessment

Adapt teaching to meet the needs of mixed-ability groups and individual learners

Support children’s social, emotional, and academic progress

Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to ensure consistent planning and curriculum delivery

Engage effectively with parents and carers to support pupil development

Attend staff meetings and contribute to a positive school environment

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (including Reception, Year 1 and/or Year 2)

Strong understanding of early childhood development, phonics, and the national curriculum

Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

A nurturing and flexible approach to teaching

Able to adapt quickly and work collaboratively with colleagues across the key stage

A daily rate of £160–£230, depending on experience and pay scale
