A well-regarded infant and nursery school in the B32 area of Birmingham is seeking a flexible, skilled, and enthusiastic Primary Teacher with QTS to cover across Key Stage 1 (Reception, Year 1, and Year 2) starting in September 2025. This is a full-time role with full classroom teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, delivery, marking, and assessment.

The successful candidate will be joining a friendly, inclusive school that fosters a strong team spirit and a commitment to early years and KS1 development. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who is confident teaching across the key stage and enjoys working with young learners in a nurturing, play-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the EYFS and KS1 curriculum

  • Take full classroom responsibility including planning, preparation, marking, and assessment

  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of mixed-ability groups and individual learners

  • Support children’s social, emotional, and academic progress

  • Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to ensure consistent planning and curriculum delivery

  • Engage effectively with parents and carers to support pupil development

  • Attend staff meetings and contribute to a positive school environment

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (including Reception, Year 1 and/or Year 2)

  • Strong understanding of early childhood development, phonics, and the national curriculum

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

  • A nurturing and flexible approach to teaching

  • Able to adapt quickly and work collaboratively with colleagues across the key stage
