You’ll combine hands-on leadership with continuous improvement thinking to optimise performance, reduce waste, and support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles.

The Role

  • Support and drive root cause analysis (RCA) for production issues, collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams to implement robust corrective actions.
  • Continuously monitor and optimise line processes for efficiency, safety, and product quality.
  • Champion best practices in lean manufacturing, 5S, and standardised work to maintain a high-performing production environment.
  • Coordinate changeovers, process adjustments, and start-ups to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.
  • Support the introduction of new equipment or process changes, providing practical insight from a line management perspective.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards, and H&S procedures at all times.
  • Train, coach, and mentor operators to build capability, versatility, and engagement across the line.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting (shift logs, downtime, performance metrics).
  • Work cross-functionally with quality, engineering, planning, and logistics to resolve issues and align priorities.

The Person

  • Experience in a supervisory or team lead role within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Background in process engineering or hands-on process improvement.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
