We are seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our small but established team at our clients Tyseley site. This role offers a chance to be part of a friendly and flexible working environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Raising and amending purchase orders.
- Progressing orders and addressing queries.
- Managing credit card purchases.
- Ensuring order acknowledgements match order values.
- Managing direct deliveries to customers.
- Assisting in the administration of price negotiations.
- Providing general administrative support to the Purchasing Department.
- Liaising with other departments (sales, warehouse, finance) to assist in related processes and queries.
- Experience in a purchasing or supply chain support role.
- Excellent communication skills, confident, driven, and a logical thinker.
- Strong analytical and collaborative skills, calm under pressure.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple jobs simultaneously.
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; certification is ideal.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well within a team and under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- Experience with modern purchasing ERP systems, ideally Acumatica.

- Standard working hours: Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm, Fri 8:00am-1:30pm.
