Junior Quantity Surveyor - Must Have Experience In The Rail Industry- Up to £350 p/d (Inside IR35) - Birmingham City Centre (Hybrid, 3 Days in Office), Initial 6 Month Contract.

Are you a qualified Junior Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Commercial Manager open to broaden their skills?

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to support pre and post-contract commercial management for medium-value, medium-risk projects within the rail industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide specialist commercial advice, guidance, and recommendations to mitigate risks.
Support procurement activities, from estimation to contract closure.
Conduct commercial health checks and support customer meetings.
Manage the invoice and credit note process.
Oversee the minor authority process and manage project close-out effectively.
Ensure financial integrity and accurate data collection for Project Leads.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Experience in a generalist commercial environment AND/OR degree in a related field.
Ability to work on own initiative and provide solutions over problems in a professional working environment.
Effective negotiation skills and industry awareness.

Desirable Qualifications:

Membership of a relevant professional institute or chartered status.
Experience working in rail is desired but not essential
