Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 car allowance + benefits

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading property developer/main contractor, supporting the delivery of a major Build to Rent (BTR) scheme in Birmingham city centre. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing sector within residential construction, offering long-term stability and the chance to work on a landmark multi-unit development.
Key Responsibilities

Manage all cost and procurement aspects of the BTR project from pre-construction through to final account.

Prepare and issue subcontract tenders, conduct commercial negotiations, and manage valuations and variations.

Work collaboratively with the design and delivery teams to drive value engineering and cost efficiency.

Provide accurate cost reporting and forecasting to the Commercial Manager.

Ensure contractual compliance and mitigate risk across the supply chain.

Assist in the preparation of monthly CVRs and project financial reports.
Requirements

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.

Minimum 4 years of experience in residential or BTR construction.

Strong working knowledge of JCT Design & Build contracts.

Demonstrated experience in managing packages on large-scale developments.

Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.

Proficient in MS Excel and cost management software (e.g. COINS, CATO, Causeway).
