Your new companyOur client is a highly-regarded international firm with offices across the UK. They are currently recruiting for a Credit Hire / Damages Team Manager to join their Birmingham office on a hybrid basis. You will oversee a team of credit hire fee earners alongside running your own reduced caseload. Your new roleThis Credit Hire / Damages Team Manager role will see you responsible for the direct line management of 5 individuals, including supervisors, junior supervisors, and lawyers, and will oversee a team of 25-30. You will undertake annual and interim performance reviews to review overall performance, progress against targets, behavioural compliance, development and career opportunities. Alongside this, you will handle your own reduced caseload of circa 25 fast and multi-track credit hire files and will cover sickness/absence in the team. You will cascade information, manage absences, and induct new supervisors into the team.What you'll need to succeedYou should be a qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive but the firm may also consider those qualified by experience. You must have 5 years' relevant experience in credit hire and/or supervisory roles. You must be able to progress your own caseload of fast and multi-track credit hire files. Applicants from claimant and defendant backgrounds are welcome, but those with defendant experience are preferable. Supervisory and litigation experience is essential.
