SEND Teacher – Secondary – Complex Learning Needs – South BirminghamA welcoming and well-resourced special school in South Birmingham is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join their team, teaching secondary-aged students with complex learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for a committed teacher who wants to make a real difference in the lives of young people.As a SEND Teacher in this setting, you will deliver engaging, personalised lessons to small groups, ensuring that every student can access learning and make progress. Students have a range of needs, including Autism, complex needs, and physical disabilities and additional communication or sensory needs. You will work closely with a supportive leadership team, experienced teaching assistants, and a network of specialist staff to create a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment.Responsibilities include:
  • Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs
  • Using a variety of strategies and resources to support engagement and progress
  • Working closely with teaching assistants to ensure consistent support in lessons
  • Building strong relationships with students, parents, and external agencies
  • Supporting students with communication, social skills, and emotional regulation
