Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with higher needs? A supportive mainstream primary school in Birmingham is seeking a skilled TA to work closely with pupils diagnosed with ASD, ADHD and other complex needs, helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Providing structured 1:1 support for children with EHCPs and complex SEN
  • Assisting pupils in managing emotional regulation and sensory processing challenges
  • Implementing individual strategies and behaviour support plans
  • Collaborating with the SENCO, outside agencies, and class teachers
  • Using visual aids, social stories and other specialist resources to support learning

We're Looking For Someone With:

  • Essential: Previous experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, or higher needs
  • A strong understanding of EHCP targets and how to deliver them day-to-day
  • A calm, resilient and empathetic approach to behaviour and communication challenges
  • Highly Desirable: CPD or training in Team Teach, PECS, Makaton or sensory integration
