Long Term Futures are working with a supportive and inclusive primary school that is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in Key Stage 1. The role involves working closely with pupils with a range of special educational needs including ASD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional or behavioural needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference during a crucial stage of early development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN in KS1
  • Assist with personalised learning plans and adapt resources to suit individual needs
  • Support emotional regulation, communication, and positive behaviour
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO and outside agencies
  • Help create a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly in Early Years or KS1
  • A patient, compassionate and resilient approach to support
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children
  • Familiarity with visual aids, communication tools or sensory strategies is a bonus
  • A genuine passion for helping young learners thrive
