Do you have a passion for sport and a talent for supporting young people? A fantastic primary school in Birmingham is looking for a Sports & Behaviour Mentor to join their team-supporting PE lessons, leading physical activities, and working closely with pupils who display challenging behaviour.

This is a hands-on, active role ideal for someone with a background in sports coaching, behaviour mentoring, or youth work. You'll use sport as a tool to motivate, engage and support pupils both in and out of the classroom.

Your Role:

  • Support the delivery of PE lessons and sports coaching across the school
  • Lead structured physical activities and movement breaks
  • Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils showing social, emotional, or behavioural needs
  • Use sports-based interventions to help pupils regulate emotions and build confidence
  • Be a positive role model and part of the school's wider pastoral support team

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in sports coaching, youth mentoring, or behaviour support
  • Understanding of how physical activity can support emotional regulation
  • Ability to manage behaviour calmly and consistently
  • Confident leading groups and building rapport with children
