Quality and Performance Coach (IQA)

30k- 35k Permanent Full Time Monday to Friday 3 days a week at HQ Birmingham, 2 days from home

Our client is a UK based social enterprise and independent training providerthat helps individuals gain skills for employment and assists businesses with recruitment and upskilling through government-funded programs, apprenticeships, and vocational courses in areas like Health & Social Care, Business Admin, and Digital Skills across England, focusing on job outcomes and workforce development. The Quality and Performance Coach is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning within the assigned contracts.

This role involves remote and onsite support, monitoring, and development of Tutors to achieve excellence in delivery and learner outcomes.The role will adapt to new strategies aimed at improving overall quality and performance as outlined in the new quality strategy.

Key responsibilities:
Act as the nominated Quality and Performance Coach for at least one contract, working closely with the Contract Lead to provide quality-related 1:1 support for Tutors, capture and act on stakeholder feedback, deliver relevant CPD/training sessions, conduct induction training for new Tutors, perform Learning Walks as required, and support self-assessment and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) activities.
Conduct timely observations of teaching, learning, and assessment (OTLA) outside of assigned contracts, and participate in deep dives to evaluate teaching practices and curriculum delivery.
Conduct desktop sampling and assist in curriculum writing and sampling during protected panel days within areas of expertise, ensuring alignment with the ETF Professional Standards for Tutors.
Implement and monitor individual Learner action plans for those at risk of not completing within expected timeframes, report on learner attendance, progress, and quality assurance activities, and ensure timely compliance with feedback from Internal Quality Assurance.

Maintain weekly contact with allocated Tutors to monitor learner progress and attendance, provide performance-related information and reports to meet company deadlines, attend company performance and standardisation meetings, and maintain continuous professional development.

Participate in the new quality strategy to standardise professional standards for all Tutors, foster collaboration between Quality and Operations, and engage in termly cycles of self-assessment, observation, professional standards review, and continuous professional development. Strengthen the relationship between Quality and Operations for contract success. Ensure Tutors clearly understand expected professional standards.
Allow for flexible and prioritised quality performance reviews. Enhance support and CPD delivery based on identified needs. Drive continuous improvement through internal deep dives and self-assessment processes.

Do you have your IQA, IV teaching and assessing qualifications ? Ideally with experience of ensuring high standards of learning and tutor performance in the beauty sector.

Proficiency in providing constructive feedback and implementing action plans for continuous improvement.
Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
Meticulous attention to detail in maintaining records of learner progress and Tutor performance.

Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with the Quality Improvement Manager and other team members
