Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Bishops Stortford

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience + Car Allowance

Role Overview:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. You will work closely with project teams to ensure value for money while delivering quality outcomes. The role is primarily office-based, with hybrid flexibility offered following successful completion of the probation period.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities

Conduct cost analysis and risk assessments

Track project budgets and forecasts

Liaise with clients, contractors, and subcontractors

Monitor variations and advise on contractual claims

Value completed work and arrange payments

Provide regular cost reporting and financial updates

Desirable Experience:

Experience in the following areas will be highly advantageous:

FRA (Fire Risk Assessment) works

FED and communal door set replacements

Estate regeneration projects

Kitchen & Bathroom (K&B) refurbishments

External repair works

External window and door replacements

Internal and external refurbishments

Retrofit works

Adaptation and accessibility upgrades

Roofing replacements

Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) installations, upgrades, and adaptations

Requirements:

Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction industry

Strong understanding of construction processes and commercial awareness

Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
