Flourish Education is currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist independent school rated Outstanding by Ofsted, located near Harbury. This rewarding role involves supporting students with special educational needs both in the classroom and through the school's distinctive outdoor learning programme.

The school supports learners aged 9 to 19 and is seeking a candidate who can form strong, positive relationships and deliver focused interventions, both one-to-one and in small groups, particularly for students with Autism.

This is a full-time position starting after the Easter break and running through to the end of the academic year, with the potential to continue into the next academic year for the right candidate.

This SEND Teaching Assistant Job Role:

Supporting the Class Teacher with delivering engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.

Working with a pupils across the school to promote their learning and development.

Providing one-to-one or group support to pupils with varying needs.

Preparing classroom resources and assisting with lesson planning.

Helping maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Collaborating with school staff to ensure a positive and productive school day.

Required Skills and experience for this SEND Teaching Assistant Role:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK School.

A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare, teaching assistance, or equivalent.

A solid understanding of the primary and secondary National Curriculum.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Strong experience supporting children with Autism

Working as a SEND Teaching Assistant with Flourish Education you will receive excellent benefits including:

 A competitive salary of £88.92 to £95 per day, which equates to £17,339.4 to £18,525 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year.
