Production SupervisorWe are seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee our production facilities, ensuring that all operations align with our safety, quality, and performance standards. This role is crucial for driving operational excellence across our production and warehouse activities, ensuring compliance with UKFP Food Safety & Quality Policies and the BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety.Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead and drive performance in production and warehousing, setting and maintaining high standards to foster a strong food safety culture.
  • Implement proactive solutions to minimize production downtime and address people-related issues, with support from HR.
  • Manage staff performance and attendance, promoting a team-oriented environment through development and succession planning.
  • Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures, including HACCP, TACCP, VACCP, to guarantee the production of safe and legal products.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall production and warehouse performance.
  • Optimise production plans to reduce labour and waste costs while maintaining quality and compliance.
  • Control variable costs, including materials, labour, and packaging.
  • Conduct daily production meetings, maintaining structured reporting on production issues.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required documentation.
  • Plan labour, equipment, and material resources efficiently to ensure smooth production startups.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in production management within the food industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and quality control processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP systems.
