Our exclusive client based in Blackburn is currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Accountant. Working alongside the Finance Manager, you will support them at month end with the management accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop their experience and study to enable them to become a fully qualified management accountant.

Duties include:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations and journal posting
  • Maintain the fixed asset register
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Stock control and stock reconciliation
  • VAT returns
  • Variance analysis and budget reporting
  • Project work and reporting on Excel
  • Supporting the wider finance team if needed

Previous experience is essential in this role as is someone who has a real passion for developing their accounting experience. Study support will be provided (CIMA/ACCA). You will also need to be a good team player, be a friendly and confident communicator as well as being able to work to tight deadlines.
