Our client, a leading manufacturer within their market, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment, focusing on CNC machinery and machine maintenance.
Your duties will include...
- Conduct regular and preventive upkeep on CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment.
- Identify and fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.
- Guarantee all machinery runs smoothly and safely, addressing any malfunctions immediately.
- Work with the production team to reduce downtime and boost productivity.
- Keep precise records of maintenance tasks and repairs using the maintenance management systems.
- Assist in overseeing and managing subcontractors.
- Follow health and safety guidelines and company policies.
- Perform general facilities maintenance to ensure the site remains in good condition, posing no risk to employees or the business.
What you'll require to be considered...
- Completed a mechanically-focused apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/Degree, or similar qualifications.
- Preferred experience and expertise in maintaining CNC machinery (turning and milling centers).
- Skilled in mechanical maintenance (motors, pumps, conveyors, fans).
- Solid understanding of automation control systems.
- Verified experience in machine maintenance within a manufacturing setting.
- Evident safety-first approach.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
