Our client, a leading manufacturer within their market, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment, focusing on CNC machinery and machine maintenance.

Your duties will include...

  • Conduct regular and preventive upkeep on CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Identify and fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.
  • Guarantee all machinery runs smoothly and safely, addressing any malfunctions immediately.
  • Work with the production team to reduce downtime and boost productivity.
  • Keep precise records of maintenance tasks and repairs using the maintenance management systems.
  • Assist in overseeing and managing subcontractors.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Perform general facilities maintenance to ensure the site remains in good condition, posing no risk to employees or the business.

What you'll require to be considered...

  • Completed a mechanically-focused apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/Degree, or similar qualifications.
  • Preferred experience and expertise in maintaining CNC machinery (turning and milling centers).
  • Skilled in mechanical maintenance (motors, pumps, conveyors, fans).
  • Solid understanding of automation control systems.
  • Verified experience in machine maintenance within a manufacturing setting.
  • Evident safety-first approach.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
