Job Title: QTS English Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in East Lancashire for the new academic year, starting September 2025. The successful candidate will teach English Language and Literature across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop their reading, writing, and analytical skills, while fostering a love for literature and creative expression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support improvement
- Inspire students to develop their literacy skills and a passion for reading and writing
- Foster a positive learning environment that promotes confidence and self-expression
- Contribute to extracurricular activities related to English, such as book clubs or writing competitions
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching English Language and Literature in a secondary school setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A genuine passion for English and inspiring students to reach their full potential
