Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young children? We are looking for a dedicated and caring EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm and supportive primary school in Blackburn.



About the Role:

As an EYFS SEN TA, you will be working closely with teachers to support children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, with a particular focus on pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will play a vital role in helping children access the curriculum, develop socially and emotionally, and build independence in a nurturing environment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support for children with SEN on a 1:1 and small-group basis.

  • Assist with classroom activities, play-based learning, and daily routines.

  • Implement individual learning and behaviour plans, adapting activities where needed.

  • Build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents to create a supportive learning environment.

  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional well-being.



Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school or nursery setting.

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (essential).

  • Relevant qualifications (such as Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning or Early Years) are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
