We are currently recruting for a nursery in Blackburn, we're looking for a compassionate, experienced, and highly organised SENDCo to join our warm and inclusive team. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in supporting the development and wellbeing of children with additional needs in a nurturing early years environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, support, and track the progress of children with special educational needs

  • Work closely with parents, staff, and external agencies to create and review individual support plans

  • Ensure the nursery meets all statutory requirements under the SEND Code of Practice

  • Provide guidance and training to colleagues to support inclusive practice across the nursery

  • Champion an inclusive culture where every child can thrive

What We're Looking For:
  • Level 3 or above in Childcare and Education (or equivalent)

  • SENDCo qualification (or willingness to work towards it)

  • Experience working with children with SEND, ideally in an early years setting

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and record-keeping skills

  • A warm, patient, and proactive attitude
