The Role

As Head Chef, you will:

Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing kitchen team
Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring the highest quality and consistency
Design and refine menus that reflect UMAMIs unique fusion of global cuisines
Manage kitchen operations, including stock control, supplier relationships, and inventory management
Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations (including UK food safety standards)
Control costs, minimize waste, and ensure efficient kitchen budgeting
Collaborate with the management team to drive innovation and enhance the guest experience
Foster a positive, high-energy kitchen environment that promotes teamwork and excellence

What Were Looking For

Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume, multi-cuisine environment
Expertise in global flavours and fusion cuisine
Strong leadership and team management skills
A passion for culinary creativity and delivering exceptional food experiences
Excellent understanding of kitchen operations, cost control, and budgeting
A hands-on approach with meticulous attention to detail
Knowledge of UK food safety and health regulations
