The North Euston Hotel in Fleetwood is recruiting for a Head Chef.

Head Chef Role Overview:

As Head Chef, you will oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest quality food is prepared and presented in line with our standards. Youll be responsible for menu development, managing the kitchen staff, maintaining food safety standards, and collaborating closely with the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Head Chef Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Development: Create innovative and seasonally-driven menus that reflect our hotel ethos.
  • Kitchen Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff. Ensure efficient kitchen operations and smooth service during peak times.
  • Quality Control: Maintain consistency and quality in all dishes, ensuring that every plate meets the hotel high standards.
  • Food Safety & Hygiene: Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed, maintaining cleanliness and food safety protocols.
  • Inventory & Ordering: Oversee inventory management and managing food costs to stay within budget.
  • Training & Development: Mentor and develop the kitchen team, providing training opportunities to grow their skills.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth communication and guest satisfaction.

Head Chef Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior kitchen role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Creative and innovative mindset, with a passion for creating unique and delicious dishes.
  • Excellent understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm, organized kitchen environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with all departments.

About the hotel

We are a 53 bedroom hotel with a public bar and hotel restaurant. The hotel has 3 function rooms that can cater for 20-150 people serving buffets and lunches / dinners. We have a fully equipped gym and hotel staff can use. The hotel was built in 1841 by Sir Peter Hesketh Fleetwood and was designed by the famous architect Desimus Burton.
