About the Role

We're looking for an outstanding Math teacher with a proven track record of success and raising pupil outcomes. The successful candidate will have the ability to deliver quality teaching that drives achievement and inspires a love of learning in a state-of-the-art secondary school for 11 to 16 year olds in Blackpool. You will be able to demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils, as well as being passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people. As a committed team player, you will have excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both pupils and peers.

Requirements

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • The ability to teach to GCSE standard.
  • Experience of sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement.
  • Experience of innovation and creativity to engage, enthuse and progress learners.
Skills
  • Excellent subject knowledge.
  • Ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
  • Strong classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective teaching practices.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and assess inspiring Maths lessons in line with the UK curriculum.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and progress.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback to drive improvement.
  • Support students in preparing for GCSE exams, ensuring they reach their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Participating in extracurricular activities and events.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
  • Uphold the school's safeguarding policies, ensuring the welfare of all students.
