Reed Education is dedicated to providing Whole School Recruitment to Secondary Schools across Cumbria & Lancashire. We are currently seeking a dynamic Science Teacher to join a school in the Wyre & Fylde immediately on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the curriculum, effective communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver engaging and informative lessons that adhere to the KS3 and KS4 Science curriculum. Experience with KS5 would be advantageous.
- Utilise strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive and conducive learning environment.
- Assess, monitor, and report on the progress of students.
- Implement strategies to cater to a range of educational needs and abilities.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff to plan and coordinate lessons.
- Participate in school events and activities.
- Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Recent relevant experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4; KS5 is advantageous.
- Excellent classroom practitioner with robust subject knowledge.
- Reliable, committed, and capable of demonstrating qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
