About the Role

As a Senior Accountant, you will be working in a well established team where you will look after a portfolio of a varied and loyal client base. You'll handle everything from VAT returns and HMRC submissions to providing tailored, forward-thinking tax advice for your clients

You'll work across a range of sectors and business sizes, giving you the opportunity to demonstrate your versatility, leadership, and deep technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients: from startups to large PLC's
  • Prepare and review year-end accounts, tax computations, and VAT returns.
  • Liaise directly with clients to deliver expert advice on all tax-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC and regulatory standards.
  • Support junior team members and review their work where necessary.
  • Identify opportunities to add value through proactive advisory services.

About You

  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 3 years experience working in Practice
  • A strong grasp of UK tax regulations, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled in using accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple client deadlines.
  • Must be able to commute to Blackpool on a regular basis - this is a key requirement.
