Role Title:
Base Supervisor
Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring all activities are planned and executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies. The Base Supervisor manages Technicians, coordinates maintenance and repairs, and ensures equipment and assets are in optimal condition.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Coordinate and manage the activities of Technicians, including Base Technicians, offshore crew and third-party labor, deployed onshore in the maintenance, rebuilding and modification of company assets and equipment.
Act as the primary point of contact for workshop-related tasks and requests from employees and contractors.
Ensure that all work carried out adheres to health, safety, environmental, quality, and security (HSEQS) policies and regulatory requirements.
Supervise and coordinate technicians, offshore crew, trainees and third-party labor within the workshop.
Oversee the maintenance and organisation of workshop facilities, tools and equipment.
Mentor and support base Apprentices and Trainees, fostering their professional development.
Key Tasks
Develop and maintain workshop procedures and administration.
Participate in risk assessments and toolbox talks to mitigate hazards.
Establish and maintain security arrangements for workshop operations.
Liaise with port authorities and local contractors when necessary.
Join in with maintenance work scopes as needed.
Key Measurables
Achievement of safety and operational KPI targets, with minimal incidents or accidents.
Proper maintenance, availability, and functionality of all workshop equipment.
Accurate record-keeping of asset maintenance and operational procedures.
Effective stock control and accountability for tools, equipment, and consumables.
Development and mentoring of apprentices and trainees.

Qualifications Specific to Role
Essential Qualifications
Electrical, Hydraulic or Mechanical qualification (Minimum HNC or equivalent).
Certifications in Overhead Crane, Forklift, MEWP, First Aid, Fire Warden are desirable.
