Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting experienced tutors to deliver GCSE Maths, English, or both in Bognor Regis and nearby areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in your local community.
As a Tutor, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging tuition sessions
- Support students in building confidence and improving academic outcomes
- Work independently or as part of a wider support team
- Maintain accurate records of progress and engagement
About you:
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with young people in one or more of the following roles:
- Teaching Assistant (TA)
- 1:1 Support
- Cover Supervisor
- Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
- Teacher
- Tutor
- Or another relevant educational role
- Strong subject knowledge in GCSE Maths and/or English
- Ability to build rapport and tailor sessions to individual learning needs
Position - Mentor

Full time/part-time - Varied
Hours - 10 per week- 2 per day- Monday to Friday- Flexible timings
Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people as a TA, 1:1, Cover Supervisor, LSA, Teacher, Tutor, or another related field- ESSENTIAL
- Experience of working with learners with SEN/ SEMH needs- ESSENTIAL
- Confident to deliver up to GCSE Maths, English or both
- Trauma informed- DESIRABLE
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
