About the Role
An award-winning, family-owned restaurant is looking for a passionate and ambitious Junior Sous Chef to join their talented, dedicated brigade. This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced Junior Sous Chef or a strong Chef de Partie ready to take the next step in their career within a kitchen renowned for its creativity, quality, and consistency.
You’ll work alongside a skilled Head Chef and an exceptional team in a kitchen where fresh, seasonal ingredients are celebrated and innovation is encouraged.
As Junior Sous Chef, You Will:
  • Assist in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring smooth, efficient service
  • Be innovative, committed, and passionate about food, ingredients, and presentation
  • Maintain exceptional quality and consistency with a professional “can-do” attitude
  • Support the Head Chef in operational decisions, improvements, and menu development
  • Lead by example while mentoring junior chefs and ensuring HACCP and allergen compliance
  • Take pride in upholding The Beach Company standards and values
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and well-organized kitchen environment
  • Collaborate effectively across departments to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
  • Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and strong problem-solving skills under pressure
  • Take responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a high-quality, fresh food restaurant or similar environment
  • Genuine passion for gastronomy, innovation, and excellence
  • Strong understanding of HACCP, allergen procedures, and food safety
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A great attitude, a desire to learn, and the confidence to lead when required
