Eventus Recruitment are seeking a Legal Cashier to join a busy Legal Finance Team based in Bolton, Greater Manchester. This is a full-time role, 9-5 Monday - Friday. You will be able to take advantage of onsite parking and a generous salary. The firm offers a friendly working environment where the ethos is based around staff being the firms most valuable asset. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and gain experience across all areas of a busy accounts department within a well-established law firm.

Role Responsibilities

The successful Legal Cashier will have a range of responsibilities including:

  • Processing outgoing payments, including BACS, CHAPS, Faster Payments and cheques
  • Preparing and authorise electronic bank transfers for both offices
  • Maintaining accurate transaction records and ensuring compliance with legal accounting standards
  • Managing shared inboxes and responding promptly to payment queries
  • Assisting with financial reporting and ensure compliance with SAR and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations

Person Specification

The incoming Legal Cashier will have experience of working in a finance department as a Legal Cashier or a Finance Assistant. In addition, you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of SRA and AML rules
