- Direct work with children and families subject to Child in Need, Child Protection and those involved within court proceedings
- Achieve positive outcomes for Looked After Children (LAC) and their families
- Work alongside Safeguarding Social Workers
- Plan and record interventions effectively, to support and contribute to the overall assessment held by referring social care teams
- Offer support and evidence-based intervention around child development
- Supporting with contact supervision
- Transport children and families as appropriate
- Complete home visits
- Contribute to risk assessments and protecting children and young people from danger, harm, and abuse
- Raise any concerns you may have immediately
- Work with families around behaviour management strategies and routines and boundaries
- Work in partnership with families on protection plans in their own home, where appropriate
- Support in referring families to support services available
- Communicate and work with a range of professionals and agencies to ensure all needs are met
- UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
- Experience of working with children and families support services
- Experience of supporting families in using services within the community
- Ability to implement interventions and strategies to prevent family breakdown
- Ability to contribute to the protection of children and young people, by identifying and acting upon risk of danger, harm, and abuse
- Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service
