Family Time Worker Bolton30/06/2025 – 2 months initially1x 18.5 hrs/week (flexible days) 1x Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, 37 hrs/week(Office based and community based, part WFH - candidates will be expected to be office based for part of the week and be able to travel to Bolton at short notice to meet service needs)
  • Direct work with children and families subject to Child in Need, Child Protection and those involved within court proceedings
  • Achieve positive outcomes for Looked After Children (LAC) and their families
  • Work alongside Safeguarding Social Workers
  • Plan and record interventions effectively, to support and contribute to the overall assessment held by referring social care teams
  • Offer support and evidence-based intervention around child development
  • Supporting with contact supervision
  • Transport children and families as appropriate
  • Complete home visits
  • Contribute to risk assessments and protecting children and young people from danger, harm, and abuse
  • Raise any concerns you may have immediately
  • Work with families around behaviour management strategies and routines and boundaries
  • Work in partnership with families on protection plans in their own home, where appropriate
  • Support in referring families to support services available
  • Communicate and work with a range of professionals and agencies to ensure all needs are met
Requirements
  • UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
  • Experience of working with children and families support services
  • Experience of supporting families in using services within the community
  • Ability to implement interventions and strategies to prevent family breakdown
  • Ability to contribute to the protection of children and young people, by identifying and acting upon risk of danger, harm, and abuse
  • Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service
