We are currently seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a welcoming and inclusive school in Bolton. This role involves working closely with children who may have autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, or social, emotional and mental health needs, either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive difference in children's lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with SEN

  • Support pupils' learning, emotional well-being, and independence

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering adapted lessons

  • Implement strategies outlined in EHCPs and individual support plans

  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement

  • Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and wider support staff

  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN (school or care setting preferred)

  • A patient, calm, and nurturing approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare

  • Relevant qualifications or training desirable but not essential
