Reed is currently looking to recruit an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join SeftonCouncils social work teams including child in need, child protection, children in care and children with disability.
Fantastic payrate of £36.65 per hour!
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and protective factors.
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with children, families and relevant stakeholders.
- Provide timely and effective intervention and support services to children and families in crises.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including health care professionals, law enforcement and educational institutions.
- Monitor and review the progress of children and families involved in the child protection system.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with organisational policies and statutory requirements.
- Attend court hearings and provide evidence as required.
- Undertake any other duties as directed from time-to-time to meet the exigencies of the service.
Requirements of this role:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Previous experience working in child protection services.
- Strong understanding of child development, safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.
- Excellent assessment, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and best practice standards.
