Job Opportunity: Temporary Purchasing Administrator (9-Month Contract)

Up to £12.75/hour PAYE 39 Hours per Week Monday-Thursday On-Site, Friday Work from Home

Are you highly organised, detail-focused, and ready to make an impact in a fast-paced environment? Were seeking a Temporary Purchasing Administrator to support our Purchasing Department on a 9-month contract.

About the Role:

You'll play a key role in ensuring that essential non-production parts are delivered on time and within budget. From raising purchase orders and monitoring supplier performance to maintaining accurate procurement records, your contribution will help drive operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Raise and manage Purchase Orders

  • Track order acknowledgements, deliveries, and delays

  • Resolve supply issues and maintain positive supplier relationships

  • Maintain accurate procurement and vendor databases

  • Support internal teams with quotations and documentation

  • Perform general administration duties to support the purchasing and stores teams

Work Pattern:

  • Monday to Thursday: On-site

  • Friday: Remote work from home

What Were Looking For:

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Previous experience in purchasing or procurement (advantageous)

  • Familiarity with supplier management and quality management systems (QMS)

  • Background in a manufacturing or production environment preferred

Skills & Attributes:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Strong organisational and time management abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)

  • Positive, proactive approach with strong attention to detail

  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

Working Hours:

Full-time, Monday to Friday 39 hours/week

Contract Type:

Temporary 9 months

Salary:

Up to £12.75 paye per hour, depending on experience
