Job Title: SMT Operator (Europlacer & Assembleon)

Location: Bordon, Hampshire
Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday
Salary: £26k - £32k dependent on experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About Us:
We are a well-established and growing electronics manufacturing company based in Bordon, Hampshire. We specialise in high-quality PCB assembly and electronic solutions for a diverse client base. As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a skilled SMT Operator with experience using Europlacer and Assembleon pick-and-place machines.

Role Overview:
As an SMT Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining SMT equipment, ensuring high levels of quality and efficiency in the production process. You will be working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment as part of a close-knit and skilled team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate Europlacer and Assembleon SMT machines

  • Load feeders, verify component placement and ensure correct programming

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines

  • Inspect assembled PCBs for quality assurance

  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to meet deadlines

  • Follow company quality standards and health & safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Proven experience operating Europlacer and/or Assembleon SMT equipment

  • Good attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions

  • Understanding of IPC standards is a plus

  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
