Job Title: EstimatorLocation: Borehamwood, UKSalary: £60,000 - £80,000Role Overview:We are looking for experienced Estimators to join our team and support the pre-construction phase of projects. Your main responsibility will be to provide accurate cost estimates to ensure projects are financially viable and competitive.Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse bid specifications, drawings, and project documents.
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs to determine materials, labour, and equipment needed.
- Prepare estimates from first principles.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to get competitive pricing.
- Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Attend site visits to gather additional information for bids.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong background in estimating Power/Electricals/Renewable/Civils projects.
- Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4/FIDIC contracts.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to interpret complex project specifications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- UK driving licence required.
