Reed FE are working with a College in Lincolnshire and are seeking a qualified Automotive Technician/Engineer with a passion for teaching to join our team as a Lecturer in Automotive Technology. This role involves contributing to the design and delivery of our curriculum and assisting with the growth and development of our automotive technology provision.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Design and deliver high-quality lessons in automotive technology.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the curriculum.
  • Engage with students to inspire and motivate them in the field of automotive technology.
  • Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to promote learning and improvement.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the planning and implementation of educational strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Technical & Professional Qualifications:
    • Minimum of Level 3 in Automotive/MV or relevant industry experience.
    • Level 2 (or equivalent) in English & Maths.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge:
    • Up-to-date, broad-based knowledge of the automotive technology subject area.
    • Understanding of safeguarding and commitment to creating a safe learning environment.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Awareness of the importance of Equality & Diversity.
  • Relevant and recent industrial experience.
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PTTLS, Cert Ed) and teaching experience.
