Reed FE are working with a College in Lincolnshire and are seeking a qualified Automotive Technician/Engineer with a passion for teaching to join our team as a Lecturer in Automotive Technology. This role involves contributing to the design and delivery of our curriculum and assisting with the growth and development of our automotive technology provision.
Day-to-day of the role:- Design and deliver high-quality lessons in automotive technology.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the curriculum.
- Engage with students to inspire and motivate them in the field of automotive technology.
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to promote learning and improvement.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the planning and implementation of educational strategies.
- Technical & Professional Qualifications:
- Minimum of Level 3 in Automotive/MV or relevant industry experience.
- Level 2 (or equivalent) in English & Maths.
- Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Knowledge:
- Up-to-date, broad-based knowledge of the automotive technology subject area.
- Understanding of safeguarding and commitment to creating a safe learning environment.
- Awareness of the importance of Equality & Diversity.
- Relevant and recent industrial experience.
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PTTLS, Cert Ed) and teaching experience.
