Reed FE are working with a College in Lincolnshire and are excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Lecturer in Environmental Science/Chemistry to join our high-performing A Level Curriculum Area at Boston College. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to inspiring students and enhancing their learning experience through innovative teaching methods.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Teach across Environmental Science courses in the A level department.
  • Develop and deliver engaging and informative lessons that captivate students and foster a deep understanding of the subject.
  • Support and inspire students to reach their full potential through tailored guidance and encouragement.
  • Participate actively in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the curriculum remains current and effective.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices and stay updated with the latest educational trends and methodologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Technical & Professional Qualifications:
    • Degree or A level equivalents in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related subject.
    • Level 2 or equivalent in English & Maths.
  • Experience:
    • Although no prior teaching experience is necessary, a good understanding of the A level specifications is desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to motivate and inspire others.
    • Ability to work both effectively as part of a team and on your own initiative.
    • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge:
    • An understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to creating a safe learning environment and demonstrate your suitability to working with children, young people, and adults at risk.
    • Good knowledge of subject areas and willingness to expand on this knowledge.
